Every year the light of equality of all religions is lit in Takiya Mela. Sufi saint Baba Mohabbatshah was born 400 years ago in Mecca and Medina. After this, he reached Patna (Bihar), accepted Arjani Shah as his guru and with his permission, set out on a journey through the country. Stopping at many places, Baba finally stopped near the Sahastra Ligeshwar Mahadev Temple situated in the dense forest near village Patan in Unnao district. He found this place best for meditation. Later, he built his hut here in front of the temple and propagated the message of equality of all religions. Sahastra Ligeshwar Temple is situated near the Dargah. People believe that it originated on its own. Such a huge statue is seen only in South India.
