Tungri’s 90 year old Shambhu temple gives devotees a sense of peace and presence of Baba.

The 90 year old Shambhu temple of Bholenath, situated on the southern side of Kachari pond, is a center of faith for the devotees. It is said that the temple was established 90 years ago in the memory of a person named Shambhu. This temple is situated along the Chaibasa Bharabhariya main road. The temple is quite big.

The long wide verandah of the temple is surrounded with grills on all sides. This temple is quite safe for women. There is a ground in the courtyard of this temple. Where a three-day special religious festival is organized every year. A large number of Babas are present in it. Devotees coming here feel peace and presence of Bholenath.

Aarti program every Monday morning

Due to the lockdown, the temple is locked every Monday morning after the Aarti program in compliance with the COVID-19 guidelines. But every day the temple is opened for devotees to visit. Following the lockdown, devotees come to the temple and offer prayers to get their wishes fulfilled.
