Sewa Dhaam
Sewa Dhaam
Hindu center Sewa Dhaam aims to proclaim, preach and transmit Hindu Dharma (Hindu culture and religion), to promote and promote the welfare and social, cultural and religious interests of the Hindu community. The center is an instrument for many Hindus who get a lot of peace in their lives through sacrifices and meditation. It’s a light in the darkness. It is not only a place to pray, sacrifice or meditate, but also to meet other Hindus in the Netherlands. Sewa means care and dhaam means place. So Sewa Dhaam is a place where one can take care of Bhagvan (God), whereupon Bhagvan will take care of the Hindus again. It is not only a Hindu temple, but also a cultural, religious and social center due to the many activities that are held there on a weekly or monthly basis. That is why the Hindu center is called Sewa Dhaam.
Establishment of Sewa Dhaam
Hindu Center Sewa Dhaam was founded by the Sarwa Bhum Sanatan Dharm Foundation (USF) and Widwat Parishad Netherlands (WPN) on the initiative of Pandit Shri Surindre Tewarie in 1995. The aim of the center is to bring people together to promote Hinduism and the experience Hindu culture. The organization of the temple participates in a multicultural working group. This ensures that associations of other faiths can work together and the temple is accessible to everyone, regardless of race or color.
Founder
Shri Brahmrishi Surindre Tewarie comes from a highly respected Brahmin Karmkaand family. True to tradition, he developed into a very renowned Pandit in Europe within the teachings of the Sanatan Dharm. Panditji has been contributing to many sacred gatherings in India, including Kumbh Mela, conferences and symposia.
