Shambhu dayal Mandir Sonipat Haryana

Sonipat is a historical and an ancient city. Thousands of years ago, Baba Puranmal of Raja Salwan, who ruled Shalkot, came to Nahari village in District Sonipat for meditation and to attain spiritual bliss. During that period, the area around the canal village was a heavily forested area, still very old trees of Gular, Peepal, Banyan, Janti etc. can be seen. Keeping this ancient view in mind, the temple of Shiv Dada Shambhu was established here. In place of the earlier small temple, a magnificent temple has now been built by the devotees. Later Baba Kuth Nath, Baba Mast Nath, Ranpat Nath, Maan Data Nath came here for ‘Tapasya’ to attain spiritual bliss. Thus, this penance stall and temple has become a center for spiritual salvation for the people. Here, a grand fair is organized biennially on every Phagun Navami (March) month and Asadh Saptami (July). Many saints and sages still visit here to hold puja and moksha. Presently, Baba Karambir Nath is taking care of this place as a priest.

At present it has become the ground of Shambhu Dayal School.
