Shiv Mandir Buchkala Jodhpur Rajasthan

Jodhpur. Two mythological temples of Buchkala village, located 55 kilometers from Jodhpur, are awaiting renovation. These temples, which are unique examples of architecture and architecture about 1200 years old, are in a dilapidated condition. With time, due to lack of care, they are turning into ruins. This artistic temple with the Shikhar Sabha Mandap is archaeologically dated to the 8th to 9th century. The first temple here is of Shiva and the second is of Parvati. There are statues of Narasimha and Trikikram in the niches outside the big temple, which makes it appear that this is a temple of some incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Due to their archaeological importance, renovation is not being done; people have deep faith in these temples. But they cannot get it renovated on their own, because this property is under the Archeology Department. The department is not taking care, due to which this heritage is in danger. According to BS Morya of Jodhpur Archeology Department, Buchkala village of Bilara Pargana holds special importance because of these two ancient temples.
