Shivdangi, there is a temple of Shiva here, many big fairs are held here during Shiva Pujo. The Mela started from mahashivratri to 4 days every year.
This is a Shiva temple inside the trunk of a humongous banyan tree and is said to be more than 1200 years old. It’s situated about 35 kms from Malda Town.
The remnants of the ancient tree is also visible inside the trunk although a modern structure has been built over the older structure.

An ancient Shiva temple constructed during the reign of Madanpal during the Pal dynasty in Bengal. The temple has a great look as a banyan tree strangely protecting the temple.
