People consider themselves blessed by bathing in this Shiva Charanamrit water.
Patal Ganga performs the consecration of Ardhanarishwar Shivling: There are many beliefs of Mahadev sitting in this temple. Here a mysterious water stream flows at the same speed throughout the year, neither does it get flooded during the rainy season nor does this stream dry up in the summer. Ajay Chaturvedi, researcher of religious places, says, “It is believed that this Shivalinga was established by Lord Shri Ram. Patal Ganga consecrates this Shivling located in the middle of the mountains, the water stream coming out of the stones moves forward passing over Lord Shiva. The specialty of this water source is that like Ganga water, its water also does not spoil when kept in a bottle.”
This is Ardhanarishwar Shivling, due to continuous anointment from natural water source, it is also called Jaleshwar Nath. Scientists from outside have also come to find out this stream of water coming out of the stones in the mountain, but nothing could be found. The only thing that can be said about it is that this is Patal Ganga.”
Shivpur Dham is Babadham of Surguja. According to the legend, Shivlinga of Shivpur was established by Lord Shri Ram during his exile period. Ardhanarishwar is Shivalinga.
