Shiv Shitala Temple, Pakur
Special worship of Lord Shiva is done during the season of Sawan. While Shiva devotees from all over the country and abroad come for Jalabhishek in Deoghar and Vasukinath, a crowd of Shiva devotees also gathers in Pakur’s Shiv Shitala temple. Jalabhishek is performed in this temple every Monday of Sawan. It is believed that all the wishes of the devotees coming to this temple are fulfilled. Apart from Sawan, a tableau is also taken out from the temple during Shivratri. There is a huge banyan tree in the courtyard of this temple, which is also worshipped. Devotees from other districts of Bihar, Bengal and Jharkhand reach this temple in Sawan.
