The early temple was built before 784 CE (probably in middle of 8th century). An inscription dated Vikram Samvat 1249 (1192 CE) mentions minister Vastupala’s pilgrimage to Ambika temple on Raivataka (Girnar) hill. This ancient temple situated on top of Girnar hills is one of the 866 Hindu and Jain temples of the Girnar temple. One needs to take the ropeway or climb 5000 steps to reach here. The location is very serene and sce has very good energies. This place has a lot of religious significance and importance. Do visit it when in Junagarh.
Over 2700 years old Adhya Shakti Amba Ji temple on top of Girnar, easily accessible by ropeway. Open at 8 in the morning followed by arti. Though no camera is allowed inside the temple but the view from the stairs is heavenly.
