Mata’s Virat Nagar Shaktipeeth or Ambika Shaktipeeth is situated on the Aravalli hills in Virat Nagar town of Rajasthan. Mother Ambika is worshiped in this Shaktipeeth, which contains within itself the unlimited power of faith, devotion and belief. This temple is also called Mansa Mata Temple. The temple is mainly situated in Papdi village of Virat Nagar town. This temple of Mata Ambika situated in Virat Nagar is mentioned in many mythological books including Mahabharata. It is believed that Lord Shri Krishna himself had visited this holy land. Maa Ambika Shaktipeeth is considered to be the 41st Shaktipeeth out of the 51 Shaktipeeths of Devi Purana. It is said that four toes of Goddess Sati’s left foot had fallen here. In this temple, Lord Shiva is worshiped in the form of ‘Maa Ambika’ in the form of Shakti and Lord Shiva in the form of ‘Amriteshwar‘ in the form of Bhairav.
