History of Angareshwar Mahadev
Apart from this, the better dressed Angareshwar Shivalaya is Mahadev. The Mahadev Linga is not oval but made of ordinary stone. The original name of this Mahadev was Mangleshwar Mahadev.
But Muslim emperor Aurangzeb attacked to destroy the temple. There, the emperor along with the army of a monk Mahadevji sensed a crack in the temple, but the emperor believed it and informed his army to demolish the temple. Due to the disappearance of Mahadev, beggars and embers (gods, fire) started coming out. All the military forces started raining embers. The emperor also started burning Angara. Due to which the emperor was surprised and Mahadev further apologized and requested not to demolish the temple. After the crying sound of Angara, a broken part of the temple was closed and the rear part of the temple was rebuilt, which the emperor remembered for his performance and got two small pillars constructed and a plate (Takthi). Planted. This confirms this even today.
Mangleshwar Mahadev has been named in place of Angareshwar Mahadev, hence now it is known as Angareshwar Mahadev.
