Thousands of Kalash Yatras, walking tours and Kavad Yatras reach here.

Temple Features

Kayavarneshwar Mahadev Temple was named Kayavarneshwar because here King Janmejay used to have a code on his entire body. One day when the king went out hunting, he was running after a boar. Suddenly, when the pig ran out of the pond of water called Doodh Talai, it became pearly in colour. The king thought that when the pig was suffering from skin disease, it transformed into Kanchana Kaya. He thought why don’t I also take bath with this water.
Then the king held his nose and took a dip in the water. After which the disease of his entire body was cured. After that the king had a dream that in the pond of water there was a Shivalinga equal to Ankush Praman. Which he should bring from there and install in Kayavarneshwar Mahadev Temple. After installation, it is continuously said that the Shivalinga keeps growing, which today has become about 2 to 2.5 feet high. Mandakini Kund is built below Shivling, whose water thousands of people take from here for skin diseases. Whoever takes bath in this water, his skin disease gets cured.
