Khatu shyam mandir, Samta Colony, Raipur, ChhattisgarhIt is believed that the characters of Mahabharata were Barbarik, son of Ghatotkch, son of Bhima of Pandava dynasty. Three Banadhari Barbarik had the ability to win the war. He had pledged that the parties who lose would support him. Sri Krishna changed disguise and took the test of Barbarik. Barbarik on the same arrow gave a bond to all the leaves of the tree. On this, Shri Krishna asked for the head of Barbarik in charity. Barbarik understood everything and happily donated his head. Lord Krishna blessed him that he will be worshiped in my name in Kali Yuga. Devotees worship Barbarik by the name of Shri Krishna’s Shyam. There is a grand temple of Shyam Baba in Khatu village of Rajasthan. The copy of the statue installed in Khatu village is enshrined in the temple of Samata Colony. A grand event takes place every year in the month of Falgun.
