Shree Manan Dham, Ghaziabad
Shri Manan Dham Temple is located in Morta on Meerut Road. Which is one of the big temples of Ghaziabad. Apart from Lord Shiva Parivar, Pidi Maharani, Shri Ram Parivar, Shiva-Parvati, Radha Krishna and Nava Grahas, there are many temples built there. All temples have their own distinct specialties.
History of the temple
The foundation stone of the temple was laid on 31 January 1992. The construction work of the temple was started from one acre of land. At present the temple is built on about three acres of land. The 108 feet high temple of Lord Shiva built in the temple was established by the then Vice President Bhairo Singh Shekhawat on 20 January 2003.
Features of the temple
The height of the Shiva temple is 108 feet and a 32 feet high conch weighing more than a hundred tons is placed on the top of the temple. The structure of the conch shell has eight corners i.e. it is octagonal. The conch is made in such a way that the rain drops anoint the Shivalinga. There is a cow shed of the temple committee.
Blood donation camp is organised. Apart from this, during natural calamities across the country, the temple committee continues to provide relief work and arrange for ration etc. Free medical facilities are provided by the temple.
