This idol said to be 2000 year old found in near by pond some years ago. This is miraculous idol. People say this is Chandragupta Maurya period idol. Idol is preserved in very small temple. Their is only 1 jain family is their in this place they r looking after the temple. This is very unique about this idol.

Historians believe that this Jain temple was built by the Pallava kings. A temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman has been built in front of the Jain temple which has undergone several changes and renovations.

Historically important place for Jainism. Some connection with life of lord mahaveer. Very small temple not well maintained. There is an old Dharamshala also manager trying his best to help all the pilgrims his family is also staying here.
