Shri Atibaleshwar Temple Kolhapur,Maharashtra

This temple is situated in front of Mahalakshmi Temple. The temple dates back to the 7th century. There was a cave here about a hundred years ago. A monk used to do penance in the cave. Due to the penance of the monk, Shivalinga appeared here and later the construction of the temple was done. There is a black colored Shivalinga in the temple. The walls of the temple are quite old.
