Shri Dada Parshvanath, Vadodara. 5,000 years old and the only idol of the Lord made from sea sand. The Shri Dada Parshvanath Jain Temple at Narsinghji Ki Pol has been renovated for 107 years.
“The only statue of God made of sea sand is in Vadodara, till date not a single grain of sand has been removed from this ancient statue of God. The anniversary of the Jain temple is celebrated on Maha Sud 13 with grand flag hoisting and festive puja, grand Angi, rangoli and evening devotion.
This Jain temple of Lord ‘Dada Parshvanath’ situated in Narsinghji’s pole in the middle of Vadodara city is more than 450 years old and is unique among all the Jain temples situated in the entire country of India. Because here the idol of Lord Dada Parshvanath is made of sea sand and this type of idol of Parshvanath is not found at any other place in the country or abroad.
450 years ago, there was a wooden Jain temple here. 107 years ago, after renovations, a shikhara-topped Jain temple was built. This temple is now included in the Jain Tirtha.
Shri Roshanbhai Jhaveri, the trustee of the Jain temple, said that earlier there was a wooden Jain temple at this place. It was built by Vastupalji’s brother, Tejpal Mantriswar. Over time, renovations continued, and finally, 107 years ago, the Jhaveri family constructed a spire-shaped Jain temple at this site. And the installation of the main deity of the temple, Shri Dada Parshvanath Bhagwan, was done under the holy guidance of His Holiness Shrimad Vijay Siddhisurishwarji M.S.
History of the Dada Parshvanath Statue-
This statue was discovered during excavations in the Bhootdijhampa area, now part of the city of Vadodara. The idol is consecrated using sea sand, cow dung and other sacred materials.
Do visit the city (Vadodara) to have darshan and worship of the only grand idol of the most influential ancient Shri Dada Parshvanath Dada, made of sand, which is 5000 years old. In the Jain tradition, any temple that has been in existence for more than 100 years is considered a “tirtha.” This temple is now a Jain pilgrimage site.

Mulnayak Devadhidev Dada Parshwanath are very ancient and nearly 100 idols all dating back to King Samprati’s Time are here. Main Tirth of Baroda Tirth. There is a huge 2 storeyed temple here. Where Lord Parshwanathji and Lord Neminathji Resides.
