About 65 km from the capital Patna • Mg • The only Digambar Jain temple is located in Islampur city located in Nalanda district. While the Manojnahari of Lord Chandraprabhu, the eighth Tirthankara of Moolnayak Jainism, is enthroned in the attractively embellished Moolvedi, the ancient statue is enshrined, in this altar, the statues of dozens of Jain Tirthankaras are also seated.

The late Babu Gidhar Mal Ji Jain, who laid the foundation of this ancient temple, is a big gift to the Jain society by constructing this temple in the interest of Jain society. These entire Isharampur were the zamindar of the present Islampur city, they used to run the zamindari in the entire city and they were Jaswal Jain whose four books had migrated from Rajasthan and came to Bihar. This Jain temple was constructed here by the late Babu Gidhar Mal Jain in about 300 years ago.
