Shri Digamber Jain Atishaya Kshetra Devpuri, Derol,Sabar Kantha,Gujarat
In the state of Gujarat, at a distance of 6 km to the east of Khedbrahma tehsil, there is the village of Derol, which was formerly known as Devnagari or Devpuri. It is now known as Derol. Located 8 km from Khedbrahma, you can travel to Khedbrahma from Ahmedabad by train, and buses also run between Derol and Vaghela. Khedbrahma-Ahmedabad, Idar-Himmatnagar is the main route, bus and taxi are available from Khedbrahma. Presently there are three Jain temples here, one of which is under the management of Shwetambars, the remaining two temples are managed by Digambar Jain community.
The ancient artistic miraculous Bavan Jinalaya idol of Lord Shri 1008 Adinath of the 4th century is in temple number 1 and in the second Jinalaya there is the miraculous wish fulfilling idol of Lord Shri 1008 Parshvanath. All the idols in these two temples are of the Digambara order. The temple’s Bavan Jinalaya Kothariya bears the dates 1115 to 1135. Locals know it as the “Lakhenana” temple.
Special: After making a wish to Lord Parshvanath and after its fulfillment, offerings of jaggery and sugar are kept and distributed among the people there.
Annual Fair: More than 1000 people come to the fair held on every full moon day and a big fair is held on Jyeshtha Sudi Dashami every year.
Two temples one is of thirkara adinath bahagwan and another main temple is of lord parshwanath swami.
23rd Tirthankar Parshwanath Bhagwan is mulnayak. The temple is in Derol village of Khedbrahma taluka of Gujarat state. It is an ancient temple of more than 1000 years old. There are 3 jain temples opposite to each other. 2 Digambar Jain temples & 1 shwetambar temple. All are beautiful ancient temples. There is a dharmashala & bhojanshala as well.
