Pandu is a town in Guwahati. It is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River north of Mali village area. A small Chaityalay was established in Pandu in 1962. In 1995, the people of the area held a meeting and formed a temple construction committee and took up the plan of the temple. After that, the foundation stone of the present temple was laid on 8 February 2002 and thereafter, between 22 February and 2 March 2007, this newly constructed Digambar Jain temple was established with a grand Panch Kalyanak.
The main idol here is of Shri 1008 Shantinath Bhagwan Ji and there are a total of seven idols installed here. The specialty of the temple is that the temple is completely painted in white which is a symbol of Satvik. There are no pillars or columns anywhere in the temple. A huge spire has been built on top of the temple in which many statues are placed.
