The abode of the 23rd Tirthankara Jag Kalyani Shri Kalyan Parshvanath is located in the Kada Darwaza of Visnagar, which is a three-storeyed Jain temple with a shikharada.

The white coloured beautiful idol is decorated with seven hoods and is 19 inches tall and 15 inches wide. On either side of the main idol Shri Kalyan Parshvanath are Shri and Shri Chandraprabha Swami and Shri Abhinandanaswamy.

Visnagar is an ancient city having rich historical and religious heritage of Jain rule. In the 12th century, there was Kalyan Parshvanath Jain temple in Mehsana. During the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, during the Muslim invaders’ reign, the statue was put down into a well for safekeeping. Later, this idol was rediscovered and taken to Visnagar, where a magnificent three-domed temple was built. It was consecrated in the year 1863. The present temple, built by Shrimant Shravak Seth, has beautiful and attractive statues of Kalyan Parshvanath on the ground floor, Sahastraphana Parshvanath and Godi Parshvanath on the second and third floors respectively.

Shri Kalyan Parshvanath Jinalaya is known for its splendid architecture and construction. The temple’s entourage is intricately designed, which is a sample of the craftsmanship of that era. The temple houses divine idols of 24 Tirthankaras along with their presiding deities.

Many notable Jain saints, including Pannyas Padmavijayji and Roopvijayji Maharaj Saheb, have composed many classical works while practicing spiritual practice in this temple.
