The statues of Mallinath, the 19th Tirthankara of Jainism and Naminath, the 21st Tirthankara, were installed in this temple on 13 February 2015.

There have been a total of 24 Tirthankaras in Jainism. Mahavira was the last among them. The 19th Tirthankara Mallinath and the 21st Tirthankara Naminath were born on the land of Sitamarhi. Mallinaath’s father’s name was Kumbharaj and mother’s name was Prabhavati (Rakshita). Whereas, Naminaath’s father’s name was Vijay and mother’s name was Subhadra (Subhadra-vapra). He was the king of Mithila. Tulsidas has described Mithila as an unprecedented city and has expressed his respect for Mallinath and Naminath.
