The Nirudhi Lingam is the shrine where Lord Nirudhi the Lord of the cardinal South West direction worshiped Lord Arunachaleswarar and got absolved of his sins. Niruthi lingam in Thiruvannamalai is the fourth of the eight Lingams (Ashta Lingams) which one encounters during Girivalam in Thiruvannamalai. This lingam is also known as Nirudhi lingam.
