Shri Ratna Chintamani Parshvnath Bavan JInalaya, Pratiksha Society,Navsari,Gujarat
Located in the ancient city of Navsari in the sacred land of Gujarat, the 33 cm tall brown idol of Lord Chintamani Parshvanath (also known as Navsari Parshvanath) is seated in Padmasana posture under a majestic umbrella adorned with seven hoods.
This magnificent two-storey Jain temple was constructed in the historic city of Navsari more than 700 years ago by the imagination of Tejpal Shresthi, younger brother of Minister Vastupal. In which the divine idol of Lord Parshvanath was decorated as the main idol.
During the Muslim invasions the idol of Lord Parshvanath was hidden for safekeeping. The temple too underwent changes, possibly being converted into a mosque. It is believed that the origin of this idol is from the period of King Samprati or even before that. This idol of Navsari Parshvanath is famous for its influence and miracles.
Built by Tejpal Shresthi, this temple is a two-storeyed temple that not only houses the statue of Navsari Parshvanath but also has an ancient statue of Lord Jirawala Parshvanath on the topmost floor.
The temple complex houses Siddhachakra made of marble dating back to VS1631 and the Lord Adinatha temple has artistic depictions.
