Shri Ratna Singhasan Rajgaddi Ayodhya
Ratna Singhasan or Rajgaddi is the place where Lord Shri Ram ruled for 11000 years. He sat here and judged his subjects. When Maryada Purushottam Sri Ram returned to Ayodhya for the first time after killing Ravana, the King of Lanka, he was coronated on this throne. Delighted, the gods showered flowers. Indra Kuber performed the coronation with gold, silver and gems for one and a quarter prahar. The entire Ayodhya was decorated with lamps. Lord Shri Ram is present in the sanctum sanctorum of this temple, Lakshman Ji is seated on the right side and Jagat Mata Sita Ji is seated on the left side. Behind them are very ancient idols.
The history of Shri Ratna Singhasan Rajgaddi is deeply intertwined with the epic Ramayana and the legend of Lord Rama. It is believed that after returning to Ayodhya from exile, Lord Rama ascended this very throne to rule his kingdom. The Rajgaddi symbolizes his righteous reign and is considered a testament to his virtues and ideals. Over centuries, the throne has been revered and preserved as a sacred relic. While the original structure may have undergone changes and renovations, the spiritual significance remains intact. The site serves as a reminder of the glorious past and the enduring legacy of Lord Rama, influencing the cultural and religious landscape of Ayodhya.
