Old name of this place was Kankavati. The temple with Moolnayak Shri Adishwar Bhagwan is ancient one, which was renovated by Shri Batuk and Shri Gangadhar Gandhi, the sons of Shri Ladik Gandhi of Bada Nagar and the Moolnayak’s idol was again established by the hands of Shri Vijaysensuriji in Veer Nirvan Samvat 2114 (VS 1645). The temple, consisting idol of Shri Dharamnath Bhagwan as the Moolnayak, was constructed by Shrimati Veerabai w/o Shri Kunwarji Gandhi, one among the Ladik Gandhi family and established the Moolnayak idol by honorary hands of Shri Vijaysensuriji in Veer Nirvan Samvat 2124 (VS 1655). Later many renovation works took place.

Both the temples are famous as Sas-Bahu temple. As per the myth, Shrimati Heerabai went to have darshan of the temple built by herself along with her daughter-in-law Veerabai. Veerabai got head injury at the time of entry. She complained abiut the low height of the entry door to her mother-in-law. Then her mother-in-law asked her to build another temple by the money brought from her father. Veerabai took this as a challenge and built a temple within time limit of 5 years. Annual function is celebrated every year on Magh Krishna 7 and mela on Kartik & Chaitra Poornima’s.

Idol of Bhagwan Shri Adishwarji was established after renovation in VS 2114 and idol of Shri Dharamnath Bhagwan was established in VS 1655. Both the idols are swet varn and in Padmasan position.

Dharamshala and bhojanshala facilites are available. Bhata is also arranged for the pilgrims.
