Sainath Temple: Shivalinga had appeared spontaneously from the ground.

Jaunpur: The historic Sainath temple is a center of faith for devotees. The darshan of Shivalinga that automatically appeared inside the temple holds great importance for the devotees. According to belief, Bholenath definitely fulfills every wish asked with a true heart.

The Shivalinga situated in this temple, located after the South Railway Crossing from Shambhuganj Bazar, has great importance. Local people believe that this Shivlinga has emerged on its own after rifling the mother earth.

Satya Narayan Kasoudhan, a resident of Gaurabadshahpur of the district, dreamed at night that Shivalinga had torn the ground and emerged at that place. Following the orders of the dream, Kasodhan reached the said place at midnight. Seeing the truth of his dream, Satya Narayan was surprised and sat down holding Shivalinga. In the morning the news of this spread like wildfire. He laid the foundation of the temple in the morning itself. The temple was completed in the year 1839 of Bhadrapaksha Krishnapaksha Chaturdashi date Samvat 1974. Since then the historicity of the temple is reflected. Priest Vishwanath Shukla told that Baba Bholenath fulfills every wish of the devotees. Chief priestess and temple guardian Mala Shukla told that in this fair which lasts till the month of Shravan, thousands of devotees earn virtue by doing Jalabhishek.
