Shri Shantinath Bhagwan Shwetamber Jain Derasar, Bhani Pol, Vrindavan Society, Radhanpur,Gujarat
This temple is the oldest of Radhanpur’s ancient Jain temples. The main deity, Shri Shantinath Prabhu, is built according to the classical tradition. Lord Shantinath sits in a lotus position. His robe is studded with silver. It looks impressive. Originally made of wood and had three stories, the temple has been renovated and rebuilt in stone. Behind the main hall are two marble statues of Lord Adinath and Mahavir Swami in Karyatsarga posture, each about 3 feet high. Below his feet are seen Indra and Indrani, and a couple of Shravakas and Shravikaas with joined hands. At Bhamati, the deity is enshrined in 24 cow sheds.
