Shri Shantinath Ji Shwetamber Jain Mandir, Idar,Sabar Kantha,Gujarat

A few days ago, I visited the Shri Idar Garh Shantinath Bhagwan Jain Shwetambar 52 Jinalaya Shrine in Idar, Sabarkantha. It is 2500 years old and one of the oldest and highest pilgrimage sites in Jainism. This ancient pilgrimage site is in truly excellent condition and well maintained.
All amenities, including a dining hall and a dharamshala, are available.

Perched atop the Idar Fort, this gemstone shrine was built many years ago. The carvings inside the shrine, from top to bottom, on every pillar, are stunning. People can reach throught four wheeler, two wheeler and as step climb is there over the ghat. Such tirths need more attention from local authorities and need some useful awareness about this monument. Need some basic tourist facilities like proper sign board, some history board and clean washroom. Such a beautiful temple. One should go early in the morning and visit this temple.

New development work on the temple in full swing. Highly decorative and soothing atmosphere. Devotees flock on weekends. Nice Derasar in idar hills with Shantinath dada as moolnayak.
