Not only this, there is a belief about this temple that Hanuman ji strolls here every night.

This Dham is situated on Gwalior Road of Jhansi by the name of Hanuman Temple of Sakhi. Let us tell you that Hanumanji is present here in female attire. Despite being dressed as a woman, she still has a mace in both her hands. Thousands of devotees come to visit this 500 year old temple every day. It is said that Hanumanji has been seen walking here at night. Many times the temple bells start ringing automatically at night.

Let us now tell you about the history related to the temple. It is said that about 500 years ago there was a saint named Sakhi Baba in Orchha. Babaji saw the statue of Bajrangbali in his dream. In his dream, he saw the statue of Hanumanji in Sakhi guise at one place. After which she placed the idol in the bullock cart and moved ahead.

But while passing through Jhansi it became evening. Baba placed the idol under a Peepal tree on Gwalior Road and started resting. When Baba started walking, the wheel of his bullock cart came off, for which he had to stay there for another day to get it repaired. He again had a dream that the statue should remain near Ram Raja’s court in Orchha. The next day Sakhi Baba installed the idol there. Since then this temple is established here. It is also said about Hanumanji that the description of his female form is also found in Ramayana.

It is said that Ram devotee Hanuman had taken the form of Sakhi in Janakpuri. Statues of Radharani, Lord Krishna, Lord Shankar, Parvati ji, Ram-Sita etc. are also present in the temple premises. Apart from many parts of the country, non-resident Indians from countries like America and Canada also come here to have darshan of Hanuman ji. It is said that by coming here all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled. Apart from this, if a childless couple comes on five Tuesdays and worships Lord Hanuman as per the rituals. So soon his empty lap gets filled.
