Shri Siddheshwar Mahadev Mandir (59/84) Behind Gopal Mandir, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh

Long time ago there was a king named Ashwashira. He was very religious and a protector of his people. The king had attained Siddhi by performing the Rajyagya ritual. Once Kapil Muni and Jaigishavya Rishi arrived in his kingdom. The king respected him and asked him whether he had heard that Lord Vishnu was the best. By his darshan and his grace man attains salvation. Then why does no one pay obeisance to such Lord Vishnu?

Both the sages asked the king who told him this. With his accomplishment, he made the king see the entire creation along with God in his royal court. The king said that I am surprised to see your accomplishment. How will this type of accomplishment be achieved? you tell me.Hearing the words of the king, both the sages said that if you worship Siddheshwar Mahadev in Mahakaal forest, you will attain supernatural success. Hearing the words of the sages, the king immediately came to Avantika city and saw the two sages here. The king saw Lord Vishnu sitting in the middle part of the linga. After this the king worshiped Shivalinga. Siddheshwar Mahadev was pleased with him and asked him to ask for a boon. The king said that his wish to see you was fulfilled. In this way the king attained Siddhi and got absorbed in Shivalinga in the form of Vishnu.

It is believed that whoever visits Siddheshwar attains various achievements and attains salvation in the end.
