Temple is located on top of kunigal big lake . This is really very old temple and height of the roof inside temple is only 6.5 feet height and entrance doors are just below 5 feet . This temple is dedicated to lord shiva and parvathi devi. You will see very old shiva linga here and very powerful place . You will also can see full view of kunigal lake and steps are available to get inside the lake in front of temple.

Someshwara Temple is a mixture of Hoysala and Chola art in which Lord Shiva and Parvathi Devi are in dancing pose. there is a Dravidian style Panchalinga temple behind & believed to be built during Vijayanagara period..Another attraction is Doddkere built by Magadi Kempegowda has a bind length of 2 km.
