Beautiful temples and mesmerizing Pakshala devotion.

Very old Jain temple & India’s biggest Rangmandap.

“Suraj Mandan Parshvanath”
The main deity is Lord Dharamnath. Approximately 153 cm tall, the white idol of Shri Suraj Mandan Parshvanath is in the Padmasana posture. A nine-hooded umbrella rests above the idol’s head. This idol is located in the basement of the Shri Dharamnath Temple, known as the “Haathiwala Temple.”

There are several Jain temples here, and most of them are ancient. This idol of Shri Suraj Mandan Parshvanath was consecrated in 1679 AD by the virtuous hands of Shri Ratnachandra Gani, a disciple of Shri Shanti Chandra Upadhyay, on the 5th day of the month of Kartika in the Punarvasu nakshatra. Gopidas Shresthi had this beautiful idol of Lord Parshvanath installed. Therefore, this important area where the temple is located is known as “Gopipura” after Gopidas Shresthi. The idol of Shri Dharamnath Bhagwan was installed by the revered hands of Acharya Shri Hirvijaysurishwarji* on the 5th day of the dark half of the month of Jeth in V.S. 1664. This temple is also known as the “Haathiwala Temple.” Shri Vastupal Omji built a Guru Mandir here called “Hir Vihar” and installed the footprints of Shri Hirvijaysurishwarji and Shri Sensurji. This idol of Suraj Mandan Parshvanath is miraculous, impressive, attractive, magnificent, and always smiling. If worshipped with great faith and devotion, the devotee’s wishes are fulfilled. Knowing this, Shri Shantidas Sheth chanted the “Shri Chintamani Mantra” in front of this idol of Shri Suraj Mandan Parshvanath.

Hathi Wala Derasar is built in a very beautiful and artistic style. Situated very close to Sahasraphana Parshvanath temple, this Jain temple is also full of beautiful artifacts. Two big elephant statues have been made at the main entrance. Perhaps it was named Hathi Wala Derasar because of this.
