The temple was completed in 21 years
Mahant of the temple, Acharya Hariom Pathak told that in the year 1928, the scene of establishment of Shivalinga had come in the dream of jailed freedom fighter Pandit Raghunath Vinayak Dhulekar. Shortly after this, Swamiji of Pitambara Peeth came to Jhansi and visited the forest situated at some distance from the city. I sat down meditating. People told about them to Raghunath Dhulekar who was released from jail. When Dhulekar told Swamiji about his dream, he ordered to dig a pit in the same forest. On digging the pit, a Shivalinga and Nandi idol were found. At the same place. Today this temple is situated. This idol was found in Pushya Nakshatra. Keeping this in mind, construction work was carried out here only during Pushya Nakshatra of every month. Finally, after 21 years, this temple was completed.
