One of the prime shrines of Shri Vishwanath Mahadev Shiv, who presented himself before the devout Mandavya Rishi. Adjacent to the shrine are several temples and also Gupt Ganga. Worth a visit with family. The nearby Ghat, walls of the erstwhile encampment and the legendary Tamarind trees offer a scenic view in all seasons. Annual fair in December on Datta Purnima, Swahakar yagna in every four years, Maharudra Swahakar yagna in every twelve years and Sapta Dhanya Pujan on every Pradosh are the main attractions.
The temple is 400 years old. It was established during the time of Holkar government. There is a black stone Shivalinga in the water reservoir in the temple. Mandava Rishi had performed penance here. There is a bone immersion site near the temple. The Samadhi of Mandava Rishi is near the temple. There are two lamp pillars before the entrance of the temple.
