Siddheshwar Mahadev’s own distinct identity
Counted among the ancient religious places of the district Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple is 307 years old. Its grandeur and vastness is known far and wide. This temple is situated in village Madhiya (Babatmau) on Bilgram-Kannauj road under Bilgram tehsil area.
In this, idols of Supreme Father Brahma, Lord Vishnu, Devadhidev Mahadev, Mother Parvati, Mother Durga, Shivputra Kartikeya and Lord Ganesha and many other gods and goddesses are installed. At the outer gate of the temple, the idol of Lord Ganesha is installed in the north and Hanuman ji in the east. Outside the temple, 8 statues each below and above the balcony are being adorned.
This octagonal temple with eight siddhis has eight pillars, eight pots and eight statues in its enclosure. The paintings and attractive designs carved on the walls inside and outside this temple are unique. Let it be known that the temple was constructed in the year 1707. According to belief, the Shiva temple is worshiped here before any auspicious program in the area.
It is believed that the prayers offered by the devotees here with faith and belief are definitely fulfilled. The exterior of this temple was renovated in the year 07.
