The fame of Sirsanath temple, situated at a distance of three km from Barapalasi under Jama block on Dumka-Bhagalpur main, is spread far and wide. It is believed that like in the criminal court, here too wishes are fulfilled quickly. It is also called Anadi Linga. Regarding Anadi Linga, the local people believe that this temple has been situated in this forest since time immemorial. According to the chief priest of the temple and other elders of the village, earlier there was a very dense forest here. Which was known as Daruk Forest. Hundreds of years ago, an ascetic Yogi Baba who had come from Basukinathdham to the ancestors of Pujaari while visiting here had informed them about Shivalinga and inspired them to worship regularly.
