Sitapaath Mandir Lalitpur
Hazaria Mahadev of Sitapath fulfills wishes
Lalitpur. The glory of Hazaria Mahadev of Sitapath, adjacent to the Govind Sagar Dam of the city, is immense. It is believed that whoever comes here with any wish, Mahadev senses his mind and fulfills his wish even without asking.
There is a temple of Hazaria Mahadev in Sitapath near Govind Sagar Dam. It is said that this temple is more than 500 years old. Sita ji stayed here for one night during her exile period in Treta Yuga. For this reason this place was named Sitapath. According to mythology, earlier a river used to flow here, which was stopped and a pond was made. It is said that it was because of bathing in this pond that it got the name Sitakund. A fair is held here every year during Makar Sankranti which lasts for three days. There is a flood of faith here on Mahashivratri. It is said that the water of this pond never dries up.
