Panchmukhi Shivalinga of Shobhanath Temple is unique.

Nawada: The history of Shobhnath temple of the city is quite old. The temple was established in 1931. The wishes are fulfilled by the worship done by the devotees with faith. There is a constant flow of devotees every day. By the way, the religious trust board has taken the temple under its control. Due to which hopes for its development have been established. The laps of many mothers are filled with the worship of Panchmukhi Mahadev. So the desired hopes of many have been fulfilled. What is the history – Shobhanath temple is situated near Bhadauni cattle market on Nawada-Gaya road. It is said that in the course of road construction on Nawada-Hasua road, bridge construction work was being done in 1931 over a deep drain flowing from south to north. As soon as the foundation stone of the bridge being built was laid by the sensor, he was repeatedly swept away by the strong current of water. Then the sensor’s eyes went towards a nearby high hill. On digging, people saw the Panchmukhi Shivling there. After worshiping the wonderful Shivalinga, the sensor restarted the entire construction work. There was no hindrance in the work due to the worship of Shivalinga and the construction work was done at a fast pace. Then Sanvedana resolved to build a temple. As soon as the bridge construction was completed, the temple was built. Which has now been transformed into a huge temple.

Although hundreds of devotees offer prayers here every day, but a huge fair is organized on the occasion of Purnima of every month, Monday of Shravan and Mahashivaratri. In which Shiva devotees from far and wide come here and perform Jalabhishek.

Weddings take place – Shobhanath Temple is famous for affordable weddings in the district. As soon as the marriage ceremony begins, marriages are organized here on the lines of matchmaking and pat marriage. Every year about ten thousand couples tie the knot.

Mundan Sanskar takes place

In Shobhnath temple, there is a tradition of Mundan Sanskar after wishing for a son. People come here to get tonsured on the occasion of the birth of a son. Every year the Mundan Sanskar of about 500 children is performed with full devotion.
