SOUTH EAST HINDU ASSOCIATION

South East Hindu Association

2 Anglesea Mews, London SE18 6ER, United Kingdom

It was way back in 1976 that SEHA first started its journey from being nothing more than an idea to becoming the heart of the local Hindu community. Our founders had identified the need for a place of worship where followers of the Hindu faith could come together in pursuit of the advancement of this very spiritual way of life. They worked tirelessly to raise funds and to acquire a premises which was, back then, a very small building located at 5 Anglesea Avenue.

South East Hindu Association (SEHA) was registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales and our first ever constitution was adopted way back in 1977. Although the constitution has been amended twice since our formation, and the temple building has been expanded and modernised, our main objective over the years has never changed. This is, quite simply:

“TO ADVANCE THE HINDU RELIGION AND THE DOCTRINES AND OBSERVATIONS WHICH SERVE TO PROMOTE AND MANIFEST THE SAID RELIGION.”

SEHA is more than just a place of worship. It’s an association in every sense of the word. It’s a place where people come together for a common purpose. It’s a place where the issues of caste, class and origin matter not. Above all, it’s a place where all Hindus will be treated as revered guests in this house of God that we are so proud to call “our mandir”.

May the blessings of our divinely Gods keep you, and your loved ones, safe and well.

Jai Shri Krishna.
