Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Devasthanam Komuravelle,Telangana
It is said that Kumaraswamy used to do penance here for some time, hence the name Kumaravelli and later became Komaravelli. Kshetra legend says that Lord Shiva was born as the son of a couple named Adireddy and Nilamma to protect his devotees here and protected the devotees with his glory. Even later he died here for the protection of his devotees. Affectionately known as Komaravelli Mallanna by the devotees, this Mallikarjunaswamy appears here as an upright statue of Lord Shiva, not in the usual linga form, but in a majestic shape. Golla Kethamma of the Yadava caste and Medalamma of the Linga Balijakula are worshiped on either side of the Lord. This clay idol was made about 500 years ago. With the passage of time, the arrival of devotees started, and the mandapams in the temple were expanded due to the increase in number of people. Inns and new buildings were established.
