Famous Suryamukhi Ganeshji Temple, Amer, Jaipur

There is a unique and miraculous temple of Suryamukhi Ganesh ji in Amer, Jaipur. There is a belief about this temple that 125 grams of gold was found in the bowl of Prasad here every day.

This famous temple is built on Sagar Road in Amer. This temple was built in the 16th century. This temple is built on 18 pillars in Suryavansh style. Here during the princely period, during the rituals, 125 grams of gold was found in the Prasad bowl every day. The fame of the idol of Lord Ganesha made from the inlay of white figures is spread in the entire state. People come here for treatment of incurable diseases.

White Aak Ganesh Ji

A stone idol of Lord Ganesha is also installed below the white Aak idol. In both the east-facing idols, the trunk of Lord Ganesha is on the left. Hence, he is also known as Suryamukhi Ganesha. In ancient times, there was a stepwell in place of the temple. Maharaja Mansingh built 18 pillars on it and built a temple on them and installed statues.

A fair is held in the temple premises on Ganesh Chaturthi. Also, the procession starting from the Ganesh temple situated in Amer Kunda ends at the Ganesh temple with figures. When King Mansingh used to perform rituals here, 125 grams of gold was given in the bowl of Prasad daily before Ganapati.
