Sydney Murugan Temple, NSW

Dedicated to Lord Murugan, this sacred Hindu shrine in Sydney is one of the most important temples in Australia for Tamil people. The temple has been constructed with an aim to provide facilities and a place for worshipping, teaching religious scriptures and values, and indulging into philosophical activities, based on the Shaivaism and Tamil language. The presiding deity in the temple is apparently Lord Murugan. In the temple, meditative and yogic activities are also undertaken which gives devotees a nice platform to connect more with the religion. There is also a youth circle that helps the younger generation get a deeper understanding and appreciation of religious values and traditions.
