Tede Nath Shiv Temple
Tede Nath Shiva temple was established by Arjun during the Mahabharata period. Devotees believe that after performing Jalabhishek here, their wishes are fulfilled. Therefore the recognition of the temple is continuously increasing. People also come here to perform rituals like Mundan and Annaprashan of their children.
Why is it called Tede Nath Temple?
It is a matter of mythological times that seven Kanwariyas came to the temple premises. At that time the Shivalinga here had rolled down. The Kavadis said that if the Shivalinga becomes straight overnight then Gola will not go to the Shiv temple to perform Jalabhishek. Jalabhishek will be performed in this temple. In this, four Kanwariyas performed Jalabhishek and three did not. In the morning half of the Shivalinga became erect. At the same time, half of the Shivalinga remained crooked. For this reason the temple was named Baba Tede Nath.
