Theerthamalai,God Shiva’s worship place as theerthagireswar temple, about 1500 years old ,the name of the temple both in foothills and on the mountain called the same , theertham means holy water from the top of the hills falls very slowly all the time throughout the year and believed that cure of all from our body and soul ,
After worship of The foothills of the temple about 500 meters of travel there is paid car parking and all vehicle parking is there, but while climbing on the mountain to the top of the temple and theertham ,easily there is beautiful stone steps with hand rails gradually constructed and placed earlier days and rest stops with RCC roof and benches are placed at equal intervals , always monkeys are there, which pull eatables if you carry with you , better avoid carrying eatables .
