Things to know about Shri Mad Bhagwat Purana

Share

Here the topics of Bhagwat have been explained according to the Skandha,

Shri Madbhagwat Mahatmya:-
In the greatness of Shri Madbhagwat, through both ‘Gokarnopakhyaan’ and ‘Bhakti’, it has been told how a living being can be saved just by listening to Shri Madbhagwat. There is glory of hearing, this is its essence.

First section –
In the first canto, Kunti and Bhishma were told about ‘Bhakti Yoga’ and through ‘Parikshit’s story’ it was told what a dying person should do? Because this question is not only of Parikshit, it is of all of us because every living being has only ‘seven days’, there is no eighth day, it is born in these seven days and dies in these seven days.

Second wing –
In the second section, the method of leaving the body through ‘Yoga-Dharana’ has been explained; it has been explained about how to meditate on God.

Third wing –
It contains the description of ‘Kapil-Gita’ in which ‘the essence of devotion’, ‘the glory of time’ and ‘degradation’ of men attached to the body are described, what is the progress of the creature that has attained the human form. Only through devotion can one escape from all this and go towards God.

Fourth wing –
It has been told that if devotion is true then there is no restriction of age. ‘Dhruv Ki Katha’ has proved this. In ‘Purjanopakhyan’ it has been told about the strength of the senses.

Fifth wing –
In this, through ‘Bharat-Charitra’, it has been told how Bharatji lost his three births by falling in love with a deer. In the context of ‘Bhavat Ji’, it has been told how a person leads to his misery under the control of his senses. In the ‘Description of Hells’ it has been told how after death a person has to undergo the tortures of hell according to his/her deeds.

Sixth wing –
In the sixth canto, there is ‘Ajamilopakhyan’ regarding the glory of God’s name. There is a description of “Narayana Kavach” which kills Vritrasura, Narayana Kavach is actually different names of God and no one can defeat the person wearing it. ‘Punsavan Vidhi’ is a ritual which has been explained.

Seventh Skandha –
In this, it has been told through ‘Prahlad-Charitra’ that even if thousands of troubles come, the name of God should not be abandoned, even if God’s enemy is the father, then he should also be abandoned. It is a description of how one should follow the rules of human-religion, varna-religion, female-religion, celibacy, Grihastha and Vanaprastha Ashrams. How a person should perform his actions is the essence of this Skandha.

Eighth Skandha –
How God rescues the person holding the feet of the devotee and then the devotee, is told through ‘Gajendra-Gah Katha’. Devotion and pastimes of God are described through ‘Samudra Manthan’, ‘Mohini Avatar’, ‘Vaman Avatar’.

Ninth Skandha –
In the ninth canto, through the stories of ‘Surya-vansh’ and ‘Chandra-vansh’, there is a description of those kings due to whose devotion God took birth in their dynasty. Just by listening to whose character the soul becomes pure. This is the essence of this Skandha.

Tenth canto (first half) –
The ‘heart’ of Bhagwat is the tenth part of the great saints and Mahatmas, this tenth part is the life of the devotee, God is unborn, He neither takes birth nor dies, there is only ‘appearance’ of Shri Krishna, in whose life does the appearance of God take place? Me, and why does it happen, what kind of devotee is dear to God, to show mercy on the devotees, to accept their ‘worship method’, whatever be the method, God appeared only for His sake. All the pastimes were only for my devotees,The devotee who wanted salvation kept coming in front of him in the form of a demon and the one who wanted to play with him kept coming in front through devotees, friends, gopis, the aim was only one – ‘attainment of Shri Krishna’ through these means of God. ‘Description of divine pastimes’ is in this section where divine pastimes like ‘Putana Moksha’, ‘Ukhal Bandhan’, ‘Cheer Haran’, ‘Govardhan’ and Raas, Maharas, Gopigeet are divine pastimes.Listening, thinking and meditating on these divine pastimes is the essence of life.
Dasham Skandha (Utter part) – This contains the description of Lord’s ‘Aishwarya Leela’ where Lord left the flute and wore Sudarshan Chakra. There is a very unique description of his workplace, daily routine, household.

Eleventh Skandha –
In this, God cursed his own Yadu dynasty and told them that no matter who commits the mistake, he too will have to suffer the consequences of his actions, God’s illusion is very strong, the only way to overcome it is devotion to God, this is what is said in this section. Is the essence of. Avadhutopakhyan – is the narrative teachings of 24 Gurus.

Twelfth Skandha –
In this, the only way to avoid the evils of Kaliyuga is ‘Namasankirtan’. Death never came to Parikshit ji because before that he had already attained Samadhi and immersed himself in God. He attained supreme bliss because he had drank the nectar of Bhagwat, how could he die?

Shri Madbhagwat Mahatma –
Appearance of Uddhav ji in the festival of Kirtan, pure devotion in Shrimad Bhagwat, leela qualities in the name of Lord Shri Krishna, etc. are chanted, then they themselves reside in the heart and remove all the sorrows of the person listening and doing the Kirtan. Similarly, Just as the sun dispels darkness and the storm dispels clouds. The speech which does not pronounce the name, praises and virtues of the immortal God who lives in ghats and ghats, that speech, even if it is full of emotion, is meaningless and devoid of substance. Whatever speech it may have, even if it is full of rasa, emotion, figure of speech etc. – to the world. The glory of the purifying Lord Shri Krishna is never sung.On the contrary, it is extremely impure, in which it does not even have a beautiful composition, and which is also full of words which are corrupt from the point of view of grammar etc., but the auspicious name of God is embedded in every verse, the same speech destroys all the sins of the people. .!!

Jay Shri Krishna
