Constructed in the shape of a hut, the Toda Temple is a well-known shrine in Ooty. It is a shrine that is dedicated to the local tribal guardian God, Teikirshy. All the tribals visit this temple on a daily basis to make offerings to the Lord. Apart from the tribal people, the tourists can also be seen bowing in front of the supreme power which is said to protect the Toda region of Ooty.

1) Toda Temple is a temple that is built in the shape of a hut. Though it is smaller in size, it reflects the glimpse of the Dravidian style of architecture
2) Only the males of this community are allowed to conduct the rituals inside the temple. All temple walls carry the paintings of the buffalo, the sun god, and moon god
3) The tribal festivals are celebrated enthusiastically and all the members participate in it
