Vajra-Bhairava-Shrine
This Hindu temple in Ladakh also has one of the most popular shiv mandirs. The deity, who is said to have extraordinary abilities, is usually kept in a chamber. The shrine’s walls are adorned with artwork that dates back 600 years. Vajra Bhairav Shrine is one of the top temples in Leh and is one of the oldest buildings in Spituk. This shrine is one of the region’s oldest structures, with 600-year-old paintings adorning its walls. Because it is thought that the deity has supernatural powers, the Shrine is only open to the public once a year.
A huge collection of antique arms, ancient masks, icons, and thankas may be found at the temple. The presiding deities of this well-known temple are Kali, the Hindu goddess of death and Vajra Bhairava, the deity credited with superhuman abilities. Tourists and worshippers visiting the Vajra Bhairava Temple also enjoy seeing the surrounding Mahakal Temple, Spituk Gustor, and Spituk Monastery for their abundant offerings.
