Vaman Avatar

According to Hindu scriptures, Vaman Avatar is the fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu who appeared on the Dwadashi of Shukla Paksha in Bhadrapada.
Acharya Shukra had made Bali and other demons alive and healthy with his Sanjeevani Vidya.King Bali had attained life by the grace of Acharya. He engaged himself in the service of Acharya with a true heart. Shukracharya was pleased. He performed the yagya. From the fire appeared the divine chariot, the indestructible throne, the impenetrable armour. The demonic army attacked Amravati. Indra immediately understood that this time the gods would not be able to face this army.Bali was nourished by Brahmatej. On the orders of Devguru, the gods left heaven and ran away. Amar Dham became the Asur capital. Shukracharya started performing Ashwamedha Yagya to stabilize the Indratva of Bali. By performing hundred Ashvamedha sacrifices, you will become Indra as per the rules. Then who can remove them?
Seeing this, Goddess Aditi was very sad.She prayed to her husband Maharishi Kashyap. Maharishi knows only one solution – surrender and worship God. Aditi worshiped God. The Lord appeared. Aditi got a boon. God appeared from her womb.
Immediately Vaman became a celibate. Maharishi Kashyap performed his Upanayana ceremony along with the sages.Lord Vaman took permission from his father and went to Bali’s place. Asurendra Bali was initiated into Ashwamedha Yagya on the north bank of Narmada. This was his last Ashvamedha.
Vaman Brahmachari, armed with an umbrella, palash, stick and kamandalu, armed with matted hair and as bright as fire, arrived there. Bali, Shukracharya, the sages, all stood up with their fires overwhelmed by that radiance. Bali washed his feet, worshiped him and prayed that whatever he desired, he might get it.
