Vankhandeswar Shiv Temple Kharpari,Mainpuri

Mainpuri. There is an ancient temple of Mahadev in village Nagariya Nagla Kaith adjacent to the city. It is known as Vankhandeshwar Dham. This Dham has its own unique story. It is believed that Bholenath here does not like to live within the boundary wall. They live under the open sky. Whoever serves Bhole Baba here with a true heart, his every wish is fulfilled.

The temple is very old
The priest says that this Dham is very old. Ever since people have regained their senses, they have been looking at this temple. Till today we too have been hearing its stories from elders. There is a rush of devotees here on Shivratri, Monday and Monday of Sawan.

It is difficult to fulfill the vow of 40 days.
Villagers say that in this temple, even impossible tasks become possible for the devotee who takes a pledge to offer water to Shivling continuously for 40 days and completes it with good spirit. But it is very difficult to complete these 40 days because during this time God tests the devotee. That person faces all kinds of problems, which prevent him from doing so. The person who overcomes those difficulties and fulfills his resolution, his impossible task also becomes possible and Bholenath always remains blessed.
